Top Attractions You Shouldn’t Miss At Night Safari

Are you planning your visit to Singapore anytime soon? Well, you have to consider adding Night Safari to your itinerary. Oh no, I must insist because this is not your usual zoo visit because as the name suggests, this night-time wildlife park is home to nocturnal animals from all over the world. You get the chance to see them up and active during the night time in their respective habitat.

There are over 2,500 resident animals from about 100 different species here. From Asian elephants to African tapir and other endangered animals can be seen here. The Night Safari entrance fee is not costly and you should buy it online to skip the queue and straight to the tram waiting spots to get on a 40-minutes guided tour to see the animals in this rainforest reserve.

To make the most of your time here and make more unforgettable memories, don’t skip these top attractions at Night Safari so your trip will be complete.

  1. Tram tour

Take a 40-minutes guided tram tour to see the animals in their area. This is the best way to enjoy the park because you just need to sit on the tram and listen to the guide for information regarding the animal on its route. You can snap a photo of two of the animals but make sure you don’t use flash because it is prohibited here.

  1. Wildlife walking tours

If you prefer not to queue to get on the tram and start the tour, you can do it yourself by visiting walking trails here. The pathway is clearly visible and the lighting is kind of dimmed but still reasonable.

You can walk the Wallaby Trail to see the cute wallabies doing their usual things like what they normally would do in the wild. There is also a ‘cave’ with nocturnal cave critters on it if you have the courage.

If you like African and Asian animals more, go to the East Lodge Trail to see Malayan tiger and hyena. No need to worry because, if the Wallaby Trail lets the animals just roam free, but in this trail, there will be glass-fronted enclosures to keep both the animals and visitors safe.

You can head to Leopard Trail to obviously spot the majestic leopard in a glass-fronted enclosure. Or you can opt to Fishing Cat Trail to watch the fishing cat try to hunt fishes for dinner.

  1. Watch the awesome shows!

Night Safari has two amazing shows that you shouldn’t miss. The first one is the Thumbuakar Show; a fire dance with lots of entertaining performances. This show is located at the entrance courtyard and performed at 07.00pm, 8.00pm, 9.00pm and 10.00pm daily.

As for the Creatures of the Night Show, it is a fun and amazing show where you can see otters, binturong, civets and hyenas showcase their skills and talents. This show is performed at the Amphitheater at 7.30pm, 8.30pm, 9.30pm and 10.30pm. So plan your day here so you can be at the venue before the show starts.

Aside from those top attractions to experience at the Night Safari, you also need to know that you are recommended to buy the entrance tickets online through its official website or Traveloka to avoid long lines at the ticket counter that will spoil the mood and make you miss those amazing shows mentioned above.

You can also opt to visit it on the weekdays for less visitors so you can enjoy the park to the fullest. Wear comfortable outfits too and stay hydrated by bringing your own drink bottle. So yeah, plan your visit accordingly so that you have enough  time to visit or experience all the attractions here.
